“New York is truly dead only when it stops having the capacity to surprise me.”
💯 agree.
So glad you were there for this. It was a fanfuckintastic series. 🏀🗽
I love the recap of the moshed-up mixup, worlds colliding. Lululemons, ravers, banker bros, park people…bring it all.
New York needed this. We ALL needed this!
And yes, sports these days is a glorious thing. Ever since the Olympics brought us Oaktown’s Alysa Liu slaying it on ice alongside the men's and women's U.S. hockey teams ⛸️, it's got us newly enraptured. At least, a needed breath of fresh air.
Now, the World Cup brings it to an international party, and with the Americas' time zones in our favor, the party just can't be stopped. All this on the U.S. semiquincentennial, FWIW.
As you point out, it's the glorious Intensity most of all.
And, I say, the downright Beauty of these players -- the art, dedication, movement…the Dance!
Glad you were her for the moment. Love your recap.
Thanks for letting me live vicariously. Also, your shoes are so dope in that picture of you sitting in the window 😍🥰😍
