I like RNW. I'm right. Where is the contradiction? The only thing wrong with this essay is the continual reassurance to the reader that the author isn't right. Who cares? What difference would it make? The constant reassurance is tedious and I expect to see RNW on the right side within a year since right projects clearly interest her more.
I didn't read it that way. I think there isn't home at an event like this for tired but committed leftists. I feel like both sides were presented as slightly insufferable.
I read this and felt that the event was a transparent and rather banal effort to further the Barri Weiss media empire.
Reading everything as left vs right, him vs her, is totally boring and a confession that the content of the conversation holds little interest for you. Then why bother?
Totally. I feel like that is sort of the meta-point. That this debate is sort of a media hype non-event. Michelle points out that both sides ended up agreeing more or less. Anna K. said the same discussing it on Red Scare. Why bother having this event when it inspires so little? Too harp on the old and lovely cliche, 'the revolution will not be televised.' The revolution will definitely not come with a branded tote bag.
Great content. One of the few things online worth reading

Far more sincerity than signalling.
